This year’s World Mental Health Day falls on Thursday, October 10th. Mental Health Ireland, the largest voluntary organisation involved in supporting positive mental health within our communities, will be marking the event with a number of initiatives happening around the country.
This year Mental Health Ireland have collaborated with Coffee Culture and are running the National Campaign:
This a national awareness and fundraising campaign which hopes to build awareness among communities around the importance of maintaining good mental health.
With our hectic lifestyles, it is important that we take some ‘Me’ Time and what better place than your local Café. Cafés are the perfect social outlet for people, they are informal and relaxed therefore ideal for taking some ‘Me’ Time. You can go in and read a book, do a crossword, have a well deserved treat or meet friends and catch up.
The aim is for as many Cafés across Ireland to engage and hold a coffee morning during the week of the 6th to the 13th October 2013 on a day of their choice. To see which cafes who have already signed up click here.
So how can you get involved?
