This innovative introductory programme is the result of a long-term vision for Blissberry Farm. Besides the well-established physical benefits of outdoor activities, contact with nature is essential for mental and emotional well-being. The term Ecotherapy has been coined to describe the therapeutic value of this connection with the natural world. The practice of Mindfulness encourages one to become more aware of the present moment rather than dwelling in the past, or projecting into the future.

Therefore, as well as the obvious benefits of fresh air and exercise, mindfulness walking in nature provides an ideal opportunity for inward reflection, emotional processing, inspiration, transformation and renewal.

The aim of this project is to facilitate mindfulness walking in nature at Blissberry Farm with a view to reducing stress, and achieving a greater sense of health and well-being on all levels.

These are a gentle introduction to the idea of being present and walking consciously. Using all of the senses, connecting to the natural world and being as fully present as possible is an excellent ‘stress buster’
