Social Farming . . .

Social Farming uses the land and animals to help care for and develop people and every social farm is unique. Whether mucking out the  ponies or harvesting the potatoes, every activity undertaken on a social farm is essential to the day to day running and upkeep. These activities give those who attend the opportunity to interact with each other, learn new skills, develop old skill and gain a sense of pride for the work they have produced. From the planting of seeds to the harvesting for lunch those who attend a social farm will be involved in every aspect of the journey.
The social farmer is a very inspirational, encouraging person who will work alongside those who attend the social farm on their rural experience. They aim to plan exciting activities that will stretch and develop people exploring new talents, developing both practical and social skills and increasing a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for the work they do.
